Why Do We Care
Women are victims of various forms of violence on a daily basis, causing social upheaval. They are viewed as a weaker segment of society, and are accorded less prominence. The female population of the world is equal to, if not greater than, that of men. Women are discouraged from pursuing higher education. Globalisation has posed additional problems in achieving the aim of gender equality.

The Journey of Change
While societies in various parts of the world have historically oppressed women, we at the Enso Foundation work to empower and equalise them. We believe that the government’s programmes to develop and build Self-Help Groups will benefit women at the grassroots as we upgrade district-level institutions. All social and economic development projects in these communities will be coordinated, with resources coming from both government and non-government sources.
